About
Hello, I’m Tom.
I make still life photographs and moving image, working between London and Paris - and I live in the Suffolk countryside with my wife and three children.
I’ve been making pictures since I was 16. I completed my BA at Plymouth University before moving to London and assisting for the best part of a decade. I’ve been shooting commercially for about the last eight years, working with clients like Bvlgari, Rolls Royce, Samsonite, Olay, Creed, Maison Francis Kurkdijian, Selfridges, Jo Malone, John Frieda, Dettol, Marshall and Chaumet - and regularly contribute to magazines such as Schön!, Rakes Progress, Hunger, Glass Magazine, Gala and Man About Town.
I’m interested in organic forms, light, texture and in-camera magic. I like to make images that present a clean, graphic and considered approach, and I try to bring a little analogue warmth and character to my work.
I have a research-led practice, which is a fancy way of saying I do a lot of exploration and testing in my studio before a shoot, often using different image making mediums in conjunction with my camera.
